Year 0-2 Fun Run

 Today we had the Tear 0-2 fun run at school. We have been training to be ready for this since the start of the term and the children were excited to race! They all ran around the school boundary completing fun fitness activities along the way. Each group had a support person in the front and at the back from our wonderful Year 5/6s. There was so much cheering from other learning teams as the children made their way around the school it was very encouraging. It was wonderful to have so many mums, dads and other whanau members there also to cheer the children along. I think every child felt very proud of themselves as they crossed the finish line!

Ahuriri Visits

Each year the Ahuriri children come to visit the Whio studio. They get to have a look at our space, play with our equipment and their old friends from Ahuriri and meet their possible teachers for next year. It was amazing to see the Whio children being such role models today and really looking after our visitors. We are so proud of them. The Ahuriri children will come for a few more studio visits before the end of the year.

 Today our children hosted the full school assembly. We had so much fun sharing our learning and especially our song mahunga, Pakihiwi, puku, hope, waewae (heads, shoulders, knees and toes).  Congratulations to our tamariki who received assembly certificates.  These are our awesome presenters.                                                                                                                                    These are the special tamariki who received certificates.
