Week 1 of swimming

This week we have been enjoying our swimming at Starfish Swim School. The children are doing so well getting themselves organised for the bus and then getting changed. The teachers are all impressed by the great progress the children are making.

Willowbank Reflections

At Willowbank I got to see lots of exciting and amazing animals. My favourite animal was the kiwi and the peacock and the monkey and also the tuna eels. I liked seeing Gumpy eat bugs. It was funny. He couldn't see a bug so it was funny. It was also scary. I liked seeing the baby ducklings because I got close to them and there were lots of them. My favourite bit was the tuatara talk and the deer, they were cute. We fed Gumpy, he is a tuatara. He eats beetles and worms. We had morning tea and lunch in the barn. I felt happy and excited. Special visit from Music with Michal

 Today in Huritini we had a very special visit from one of our favourite performers, Michal. We loved listening to all our favourite songs (Kindness, The Seagull Song and Dinosaur Zoo and more) and a few new ones too (Brave). Michal was very impressed by how well our children could sing along to her songs. We loved our visit from Michal and will continue to enjoy singing her songs in our studio. This week the Whio children have been getting very excited about Christmas and the holidays!  On Monday they were very busy creating their Christmas countdown calendars. We worked out there were 19 days left until Christmas!
